358. Make a wish.

As you might notice, my posts are one day behind. This has simple explanation. English is not my native language.  Polish is.

My morning gratitude challenge thus has an extra which I am committed to, another one it to write them in English.

I must admit. It’s not easy at all.

When I was 17 years old I remember my Mom’s best friend was visiting us with her son. She is Polish as well. Her husband (at that time) was Czech and they lived in Paris. I was so jealous of this little boy’s ability to speak all 3 languages; French, Polish, and Czech. I found that amazing. Especially, that for me anyway, learning another language is hard work.

Two summers ago, after my Mom passed away I cleaned the attic at home. I found a mysterious box that had the label “ Marzena. Do not open”.  It was surprising to find such a treasure, especially since I completely forgot about it existence.  It was a box filled mostly with love letters which I received and a few diaries of mine.  It took me about a week of wondering what to do. I was afraid that it might be a kind of emotional Pandora’s box.

Thanks to the Universe, it wasn’t.

Such an odd feeling to read those. (smile). I was dearly afraid to open my diaries so I opened just a few random pages. Luckily enough, I opened one where I made a wish to marry a foreign guy, and that my eventual kids will have an easier time in their lives than me. I made a wish.

After many years, surprisingly enough I did marry a foreign guy. The best ever.  In fact, he is loving and patient enough person to check my “Ponglish” writings.

On top of my everyday gratitude I am grateful for his help and time which out of love he offers to me every day.

From my bottomless heart thank you, Kochany.

But wait. Where is my morning gratitude?

Today I am grateful for that wish I made.

Have great wishes today.
